Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekapel, erected in 1911 by the Van Gucht-Huysegoms family and originally located on the other side of Dendermondestraat. Demolished around 2009-2010 and rebuilt in its original state on a roundabout at the end of a newly constructed, cobbled avenue. The recent planting of four trees (brown-leaved ornamental apple or cherry plum) flanking the chapel and the columnar hornbeam along the new avenue, breaks with the traditional planting of lime trees or poplars near a chapel or place of devotion. The plot is bordered at the rear by the recent, so-called Lijsterbespark. (Inventory of Immovable Heritage)

Like many other Flemish municipalities, Mollem also has a cafe "Trapkes Op"

It's also a wonderful church. Definitely worth a visit 😉.

The village center of Mollem has been protected since January 10, 1980 because of the unspoilt state of the buildings around the church square and the iconic role of both St. Stephen's Church and the parsonage. There are several historic buildings in the village center, including an 18th-century farmhouse, a former village farm, and the town hall that now serves as a library branch. A striking building in the village center is a neoclassical mansion from the last quarter of the 19th century, surrounded by a garden and closed off from the street with a low wall and an iron fence.

Nice to have this ''snack''. It is also very quiet there, for example to eat!
