Hollow road, condition of the road is not so good, many holes. In wet season quite muddy.

Nice single track / gravel strip, ideal to come and "cross". Some hills.

Very nice place with bench. If you want to follow the path next to the Velpe on the other side of the smallest stream, you better not try to cross that tiny stream next to the bench on foot to save 10 meters. In my case, that attempt ended in wet pants.

Neoclassical building designed by A. Van Arenbergh (1843). Part of the organ dates from the end of the seventeenth century. Saint Hilary or Hilary of Poitiers was a church father and the most important theologian of the fourth century in the West. The church of nearby Bierbeek is also named after him. Around the church are several older gravestones, a war grave and a war monument, information boards about the battle of Boutersem where newly independent Belgium fought the Dutch (with the young Leopold) and an old water pump. The rear of the church grounds is accessible via a staircase (height difference). Parking available around the church and within walking distance of Vertrijk station.
