So-called "Catharinakapel", already mentioned in 1455, located in relation to the Kapellestraat and on the southeast corner of the Baliekouter. On the engraving of Sanderus' Flandria Illustrata (1641-1644), the little chapel "Capelleken van St. Catheline" is drawn as a house with a dormer window and lies in the middle of a rectangular field bordered by double rows of trees. The chapel in its current form dates from the end of the 18th century, is indicated on the Ferraris map (1770-1778). On the Atlas der Buurtwegen (1846) mentioned as "Chapelle de Ste Cathérine". Brick chapel on a rectangular floor plan with a three-sided apse and under a slated gable roof. (Inventaris Onroerend Erfgoed)
