Enchanting lake and unusual landscapes for someone who, like me, lives in central Italy. A place to live in symbiosis with nature, hikes, cycle touring routes that nevertheless require good athletic and technical preparation.

A lovely spot if you drive there. I wouldn't go there by bike, as you share the narrow, winding country road (100 km/h) with cars. This applies to the entire western side of Lake Hallstatt. My recommendation if you want to go to Hallstatt by bike: cycle there and back along the eastern shore.
