This is what camping along the coast is all about! Great views and easy access to the shoreline. The camp hosts are very helpful and can usually get you in to one of the first-come, first-served sites if you don't have a reservation. However, if you'd like the peace of mind that comes with a sure thing you can make reservations here: www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/233116

Official viewpoint of the famous Rocky Creek Bridge. It is worth pulling off the road and making the short trip to the viewing platform to take in the wonderful views.

This packed dirt road climbs steadily up the valley, with partial shade from trees by the creek. You pass under the train tracks and get a great view of the trestle.

Unfortunately not such a scenic ride as expected. The road closure is quite far from the landslide and is not visible. 13. August 24 a US cyclist ignored all warnings and tried to cross, fell down the landslide and had to be rescued by helicopter. Arrested and fine.
