Directly on the river Arbogne, lies the abandoned mill of Prez. Its neglected exterior is reminiscent of a typical lost place. Just below the mill, there is a beautiful picnic area.

Nice path in the forest, with an exhibition and educational panels in season to learn about mushrooms.

In the heart of the Chanéaz national forest, the educational trail allows each visitor to understand the basics of the fascinating and eclectic world of mushrooms. It is in the forest of Chanéaz, where more than 500 species of mushrooms have been listed, that around thirty explanatory and illustrated panels form the mycological trail. Each of them provides, in simple and non-scientific terms, a great deal of information, particularly on the morphology of mushrooms, the different deadly or edible species or even the right reflexes for successful picking. Tip: The moss-covered table on which we find a multitude of mushrooms with their data sheets! "In the 13th century, the bishop of Lausanne owned the advanced post of Villarzel which served to defend it from the lords of German Switzerland. The current tower was the gateway of which we can still guess the amounts on both sides from the window (photo opposite). In 1582, the Bernese used this tower as a prison and as an attic, then, in 1802, the town bought it for the modest sum of 155.- francs, in order to house its poor.
