At the foot of Mols Bjerge, where the hills meet the sea, lies Sletterhage Fyr – an active lighthouse surrounded by magnificent nature and a coast rich in stories. The lighthouse marks the entrance to Aarhus and offers both sea views and insights into the region's geology and wildlife. From the top of the 16-meter-high lighthouse, there is a panoramic view of the Kattegat, Tunø, Samsø, and the Bay of Aarhus. In the lighthouse keeper's residence, you can visit an exhibition about the region's maritime history, nature, and the many ships that pass by daily. Sletterhage is an ideal starting point for hikes in the unique coastal landscape. There are clear traces of the Ice Age, and the beach is known for its many interesting rocks and fossils. You can hike along paths by the coast to the nearby German Tower or further into the Mols Mountains. The area is particularly popular with birdwatchers, especially during migration season. It is also one of the few places where you can experience international shipping traffic up close – right from the beach. https://www.visitaarhus.de/region-aarhus/reiseplanung/sletterhage-fyr-auf-djursland-gdk785519

Tved Church on Djursland is beautifully situated on a slope overlooking Knebel Vig, approx. ½ km north of the village Tved. The church is presumed to be the oldest church on Mols, built in the first half of the 12th century. The church is also the largest church on Mols with approx. 200 permanent seats. The building is whitewashed, and both the nave and the choir are covered with lead. The church in Tved is "kullet", i.e. it has no tower, which is a rarity on Mols. Where one would expect the tower, i.e. to the west, a large, tiled chapel has been built. This little chapel is possibly the lower part of a former tower. In the years 1940-42, the church was thoroughly restored, and during the work to lay a new floor, an old crypt was discovered, which had been used for burials of the old noble family from Kvelstrup and Isgård. https://www.visitaarhus.de/region-aarhus/reiseplanung/tved-kirche-gdk606096
