Malga Paoda represents one of the most authentic symbols of Monte Serva and the Belluno mountain tradition. Located at an altitude of 2,046 meters, this solid stone structure serves as a fundamental landmark for hikers ascending the steep grassy slopes starting from Col di Roanza. Although no longer a malga dedicated to intensive grazing, today it offers an essential bivouac and shelter service, positioned just below the main summit. From this natural terrace, the view spans across the entire Valbelluna and the surrounding peaks, offering breathtaking vistas ranging from the Prealps to the walls of the Schiara. It is the ideal place for a regenerating stop, immersed in one of the richest and most varied high-altitude flora in the Belluno Dolomites.

Il Castagner del Balech is much more than just a monumental tree; it is a silent guardian of Belluno's collective memory. Located on the slopes of Monte Serva, this majestic chestnut tree has become famous for the bicycle it shelters among its branches, now almost entirely incorporated into the trunk. Legend has it that a local young man, called to the front during the Great War, hung his bike on the branches to find it upon his return. As the soldier never returned, nature continued its course, lifting the bicycle and enveloping it in an eternal embrace of wood and bark. Today, the site represents a poetic union between human history and natural resilience, transforming into a living monument that moves hikers and visitors with its silent testimony of an unending wait.

At an altitude of 1461 m there is the Malga Fontana Secca, a typical example of a mountain pasture which has been abandoned for 30 years. The FAI plans to recover grazing activities, bringing back the Burline cows, recovering the ancient production of Morlacco and Bastardo cheeses, setting up a guesthouse and an education center on mountain pasture culture.
