The name of this attraction says it all and it's no coincidence that it's considered by many to be one of the most beautiful walks in the Upper Adriatic for its sculpted boulders, since 1993, by internationally renowned artists who, every two years, usually in June, come to Caorle for an event that has now become an unmissable appointment! You start from Piazza Vescovado and proceed towards the sea, climbing the stairs that lead to the dam (don't miss the ancient and fascinating Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Angelo in the distance!) and to the promenade characterized by breakwater rocks that have become, year after year, an open-air art gallery, thanks to “ScoglieraViva”, an international sculpture competition organized by the Municipality. Animals, humans, emotions: there are so many motifs and subjects sculpted by artists on the boulders of this cliff, born to defend the village from the sea and become a gallery of sculptures made from blocks of Euganean trachyte, typical of this area.

The Bell Tower of the Caorle Cathedral is the true symbol of the lagoon city and represents a unique architectural masterpiece in the world. It stands in Piazza Vescovado, next to the Romanesque Basilica of Santo Stefano Protomartire. Unique Characteristics Cylindrical shape: Unlike almost all medieval bell towers with a square plan, it has a cylindrical structure with clear Byzantine-Ravenna influence. Conical spire: The upper part ends with a conical spire worked with "saw teeth" in brick, an element that makes it a unique specimen of its kind. Inclination: The tower is slightly inclined. It has an inclination of about 1.4° in the east-southeast direction due to ground subsidence over the centuries. Dimensions: It is 42 meters high and has a diameter at the base of about 6.5 meters.

Romantic cycle path along the dam through the reed belt with a view of many "Casoni". The route is more single-track than cycle path. Caution in the summer months due to the blackberry bushes, which easily overgrow the path and lay thorns that are disliked by bike tires.

The tower in the center of Caorle is the famous Duomo Bell Tower, unique in the world for its cylindrical shape and conical spire. Built around 1070 in Romanesque style with Byzantine influences, it stands about 48 meters tall and represents the undisputed symbol of the city. Its inclined structure and the particular decoration with mullioned windows and hanging arches make it a very rare architectural masterpiece, similar only to some examples in Ravenna. Besides its religious function, the tower historically served as a lighthouse and an observation point. Recently restored, the bell tower can be visited and offers a breathtaking view from its summit, stretching from the historic Venetian center to the lagoon and the Adriatic Sea.

The Casoni di Caorle are the iconic rural dwellings made of wood and reeds that dot the lagoon and the Isola dei Pescatori. These structures, dating back centuries, represent the heart of the ancient lagoon civilization: once they were the permanent or seasonal homes of fishermen, designed to be insulated from the cold and resistant to humidity thanks to the sloping roof and the absence of a central chimney. Today, in addition to being an identity symbol of the territory, many casoni have been restored to preserve the memory of a rural world also sung by Ernest Hemingway. Immersed in a protected landscape, they are reachable via picturesque cycling routes or boat excursions, offering a timeless scenario suspended between land and water.
