Road Cycling Routes around Sion
The Bayart Tower is the landmark of Saillon. It dominates the Rhône valley and is named after the landowner Madame Bayart. It therefore has nothing to do with Bayard, the knight without fear and without reproach, in reality. The architect Pierre Meinier built the keep on behalf of Count Peter II of Savoy. It is 19m high and has a diameter of almost 10m.

Do not take the gravel road but go directly along the Rhone (sandy!)

Hello, impassable today, I tried but too many trees have fallen. Wait a little before going there. (even on foot it's hot). Have a nice evening and good ride 😊

Beautiful circular route. We walked with a dog. We started on the right side of the dam wall. This is the unpaved and uneven part. In the back section there is a waterfall and a suspension bridge. The second section is easier to walk, so we found that we started on the right side. However, the route is not possible with a stroller or bicycle, you have to start to the left of the dam wall and can walk approximately as far as the suspension bridge.
