It is located after the steep section and leads through a wooded valley that gives the Nordschleife its characteristic "Green Hell" charm. The dense trees and the narrow track create an exciting and picturesque atmosphere at the same time. 🌳🍃

The Kuhnenkopf is a 530.9 m high mountain in the southern Palatinate Forest, offering wonderful views of the Palatinate Forest. As part of the Westwall (Westwall) built before World War II, there was an observation post dug into the summit rock on the Kuhnenkopf, partially covered with a concrete roof. The opening provided space for one person tasked with monitoring French activities in the Litschbach Valley. Today, concrete remains can still be found at the opening, which is now covered with a grating.

A small lake nestled in a gentle, green landscape. Numerous water lilies bloom on the water, their white and pink blossoms rising like tiny stars from the green foliage. Every now and then, a bird flits across the water, while dragonflies dance in the warm breeze—a place where you can lose track of time and linger in the beauty of nature.

A nice spot for a rest. After rain, the meadow on the north side is often full of large puddles, so walking barefoot is the only option.
