Beautiful historic church in the center of Todtnau. A prominent landmark with impressive architecture — good point to take a break in the village.

A clear viewpoint over the Schluchsee from the road. The calm lake backed by dense forest is characteristic of this part of the Black Forest — a moment to take in the scenery before the final descent.

Even though you had to ride downhill here on the Schwarzwald Super!, I would only do it as a climb. Riding at high speed on gravel/sand isn't fun on a road bike, especially since the path is very narrow.

The asphalt is really bad in places, I would only drive north (slightly uphill), you don't go as fast there and it's not as annoying.
