Rio Marina is a charming maritime and mining village located on the eastern side of the Island of Elba, today a municipality and seat of the junta of the scattered municipality of Rio. Until 2018 it constituted an autonomous municipality, but its true historical and cultural identity is inextricably linked to iron extraction, an activity that dates back to the Etruscan era and which earned the town the title of "Former Capital of Iron". Today the village has been reconverted into a suggestive seaside and tourist destination, where the remains of industrial archaeology blend with dark and shiny beaches, laden with pyrite and hematite dust. In 1947, the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas spent the summer here, calling it "the most incredible village there is".

You will have to conquer the summit before witnessing a 360º natural wonder... Amazinggggggg Even the trail offers emotions, initially technical and then becoming more flowing through the scrub..

From this sign begins a real uphill challenge .. initially quite simple but then increasingly vertical .... Fortunately 2 short stretches .. once at the summit the fun begins
