The church of Capriana is dedicated to St. Bartholomew the Apostle. It is divided into three entirely decorated naves. The altarpiece of the main altar depicting the Resurrection of Lazarus is very suggestive. It was donated to the inhabitants of Capriana by an unknown Venetian artist following the fire that destroyed the town in 1861. It is a copy of a painting by Sebastiano Del Piombo preserved at the National Gallery in London. The other decorations were carried out in 1928 by Metodio Ottolini. Above the baptismal font, you can admire a fresco by Palo Vallorz representing the Holy Spirit as a dove. It is also necessary to mention Domenica Lazzeri (the Sorrowful of Capriana), locally known as the Meneghina who is well represented in this church where her remains rest.
