What an imposing church without a tower. A very nice gentleman asked us where we came from and said the church was already open, we should take the left entrance door. It is a Roman Catholic parish / monastery church of St. Gerhard and is located on the eastern edge of Heiligenstadt. What a magnificent church.

In Heiligenstadt, the Leine is still quite young. Its level is monitored here, as it can also be quite different at times.
