The Naviglio di Bereguardo boasts a historic complex of 12 navigation locks (or sluices) IL NAVIGLIO DI BERE GUARDO - Il Motografo, designed to overcome a height difference of 24 m over a distance of just 19 km Naviglio di Bereguardo - Wikipedia. Inaugurated starting from 1438, these Navigli locks allowed boats to go up the Ticino and reach Milan, making the canal the famous "salt road" Il Naviglio di Bereguardo. Today the locks are no longer active for navigation Il Naviglio di Bereguardo and mainly serve as an irrigation canal. The fields and rice paddies near Noviglio can periodically be flooded due to heavy rainfall or normal irrigation and agricultural channel management operations. These floods generally concentrate near the local cycle paths and rural roads—such as those of the Sprint delle Risaie di Cantalupo on Komoot—which follow the course of local canals. The area is part of a region with an extensive irrigation network, making the fields close to the embankments easily prone to waterlogging during the rainier months and the sowing season.

A real surprise: a cycle path that is a straight stretch but is still nice to ride. Very wide, it allows you to cycle without problems with any type of bike

perfect asphalt BUT... 1. both in the underpass of Casarile and on arrival in Pavia, the final arrangements for the wooden bridge and the arrival at the stadium are delayed... how much longer??!! 2. "bike-friendly" signage is completely missing for the safety of bikers and cars/pedestrians, both on the crossings of the cycle path with roads used by traffic and for finding the cycle path from the Alzaia Pavese 3. once you are on the main road SS35 at Binasco to get back on the cycle path, YOU RISK YOUR LIFE!! accesses not signposted for either cars or cyclists and almost impossible to use in both directions ... DANGER to be fixed before an accident happens!

The church features an exposed brick façade consisting of a projecting central body and two lower sides, divided by two flat lateral pilasters and a thick horizontal molding. The large churchyard accentuates the volume of the church and defines its profile. The bell tower rises over 40 meters on the left side of the temple, crowned by a cella enclosed by four single-lancet windows with corner pinnacles; the whole structure culminates in a Byzantine-style dome topped with a copper globe supporting a 2.80-meter-high cross.
