In Friuli there are ten baptismal churches, which hold a special significance for the population. They were built in prominent locations on the site of castles and defensive towers and had the privilege of conducting baptisms and burials. For a long time, churches in the valley were denied these rights.

Once you have parked the car, you cross the small town, very famous for its exhibitions and various cultural conferences that take place in the summer, taking the direction of the cemetery. Here the asphalt road gives way to the actual path (Troi par sot la crete) which begins to descend towards the bed of the Rio Frondizzon. A few tens of meters and you have to keep right due to a landslide on the main path. Not bad, even the detour is well passable. You cross the Rio on the pleasant narrow rock bridge and from here the climb begins. In the Mulins area there is a drinking water fountain with a stone trough. A little further on, keeping to the right, you abandon Troi par sot la crete, leaving it on the left. The climb becomes slightly steeper and after keeping right at a crossroads (but even keeping left you still arrive at your destination) you enter the small opening in the wall that delimits the Pieve clearing. Once you arrive at the church, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the But valley. The return follows the outward itinerary. Before returning home, the town, well renovated after the 1976 earthquake, is worth a visit. Don't miss the Rio Touf spring pool and its short village route with the numerous mills.
