The building has been rebuilt several times over the centuries due to wars and earthquakes. The current choir dates back to 1357, the sacristy and bell tower date back to before 1733, the church dates back to 1886 and the bells date back to 1926. You can reach it either via an asphalt road or a dirt road, both of which are not very busy.
