The area around it is very nicely done up. There is a beautiful view of the lake and there are a bunch of newly installed benches to sit on. You can park you car here for free and the skanzen Havranok is walking distance away.

There are 2 Aquaparks in very close proximity to Liptovsky Mikulas. Besenova Aquapark is a great place to relax after a long day of cycling. There is a Sauna world section with many different types of saunas and different pools with toboggans, making it a great place to spend the day with kids. All this is thermal waters. Cycling around offers great views.

Liptovská Mára is the largest reservoir in Slovakia in terms of volume. It was completed in 1975 and bears the name of one of the villages abandoned for construction. In addition to its economic importance, it is also a popular recreational area in the region today. The lake is perfect for a day off or a swim stop.
