Iconic Forest Restaurant, which has been at the starting point of important hiking/tourist routes for a long time. Typically next to the OKT (National Blue Trail) and the Horizont (National Bicycle Trail). The OKT's stamp is located opposite the restaurant entrance. There is ample parking. You can dine in the large garden area, on the tarpaulin seating area, or indoors. It is open all year round. Delicious, seasonal dishes, with BBQ at times. Although the restaurant could do with a little optical tuning, it is still worth stopping by after a hike.

It is a meeting point for important hiking trails, where you can find a rain shelter, a resting place, a fire pit, and even the National Blue Trail's sealing point, "supplemented" with a Forester's House. Oh! Let's not forget the sealing point of the Horizont: Cross-Country Cycling Trail, which is included in the photos. It is worth taking a short break here, as it is also a dividing line in terms of topography. From here, it either rises or we have to count on a continuous decrease in level in the opposite direction.

An important memorial of the Jewish community which was sent to Awschits crematorium on the last train before the war ended. You'll find a small exhibition of photos, personal and religious items which were hidden and found years later. Also a little synagogue operates there.

Very nice place with lots of food and drinks. You can relax on pleasant little fields or in sheltered houses. From there, many different routes lead to straight or circuitous routes, and it is possible to combine them. You can get there by car or bus. My recommendation: Pilissántorol on foot up to Dobogo :)

Dobogókő is one of my favorite places for a short break during long treks or as a day trip destination with friends and family. It is easy to reach, can be combined with many trails and you get beautiful views from and around the Dobogókő. It can be reached by car, bus or on foot. There are several possibilities to eat, especially traditional hungarian dishes cooked on the open fire (goulash soup, bean soup, wild goulash, etc.) and enough space to rest. Also small things like cakes, sandwiches, coffee or even ordinary hot food can be bought in the old ski hut.
