A fantastic cycling and hiking trail runs along here, amidst beautiful scenery. We hiked along this route in February, surrounded by stunning nature, and it was wonderful. Highly recommended.

The historic lighthouse can be visited in the two summer months of July and August. Between 10am - 6pm. It's worth a visit. Inside there are vivid pictures of the lighthouse during times of operation, as well as the interim decay and rescue or restoration. Above there are people willing to provide information who will bring you closer to the lighthouse and its function. Very high quality binoculars are also available. It's worth a visit

I drive once a year from Cuxhaven to Hamburg. Today it was the other way around with the east wind at our backs. Starting from Freiburg, I discovered the Outer Deichweg, which I had apparently never noticed in the years before.
