The lake was created by the gravel excavation during the construction of the A 99 motorway and the stands of the regatta course from 1972. In high season, thousands of bathers come to the shores of the lake every day. In winter, there is little going on here except for a few dog walkers. A jog from the nearby regatta course will liven up your run a little. https://stadt.muenchen.de/service/info/regattaparksee/10313890/
