July 21, 2026, Wriezen Train Station

With the construction of the Eberswalde-Frankfurt (Oder) railway line starting in 1866, the establishment of a station in Wriezen became necessary. On January 1, 1867, the railway line to Eberswalde was opened, followed in 1876 by the line to Frankfurt/Oder. In 1892, the lines to Jädickendorf and to Berlin (Wriezener Bahn) were put into operation. The foundation stone for the station building was laid on August 26, 1895, and the station was inaugurated on September 15, 1895. From 1911, the Oderbruchbahn from Golzow or Seelow also ended in Wriezen. In 1945, the station was completely destroyed, rebuilt in 1950, and inaugurated on September 1, 1951. Today, the station is merely a stop on the RB60 line of the NEB (Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn). The station building is a listed monument and is currently not in use. Source: Bürgerinformation Wriezen

There's a staircase from the road down to the bike path. On the map, it looks like the paths intersect.
