The Orthodox Cathedral, dedicated to the "Ascension of the Lord" (Catedrala "Înălțarea Domnului"), is the largest religious building in Târgu Mureș. It was built between 1925 and 1934 according to the plans of the Timișoara architect Victor Vlad in the shape of a Greek cross. The cathedral was consecrated on December 2, 1934. On the walls of the narthex are images of the 17th-century Metropolitan Saints of Transylvania, Ilie Iorest and Sava Brancovici, framed by twelve medallions depicting Transylvania's most important Orthodox churches. The central dome features a stained-glass window depicting Christ blessing the Virgin. The altar features a twelve-meter-high mosaic depicting the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child.

The German Gymnasium Sebes had an interesting development in the school history of the city of Sebes. ...In 1724, under the patronage of the Evangelical Church, it opened its courses "School-Seminarium" with successive changes in the name: "Latin Gramatathical School", "Elementary School and Lutheran Gymnasium" (1780).... ....To the north of the Evangelical Church, a new school building was built in 1784. Between 1863-1869, the building was enlarged, the school still preserved the old inscription: BILDUNG ITS FREIHEIT (Culture is Freedom). Source: https://www.liceulgermansebes.ro/

By this small detour, you have the possibility of staying in Șieut. The excellent Pension Maria, located near the river and at the entrance to the village, offers a very pleasant stay in a modern chalet. This is a possible alternative, in case you want to escape urban planning, which you find at the end of the stage in Monor.

Monorse is located, with its neighbor Gledin, on the upper course of the Lut valley. The municipality is located at the foot of the Călimani mountains. The city's main industrial activity is milk processing. Since 1991, the Carmolact factory has processed around one hundred thousand liters of milk daily, purchased from private producers in the region and neighboring towns. The city was hit hard both during the First World War and the Second. War memorials commemorating this period are easily found in the city.

This natural curiosity was discovered by John Chintauan several decades ago. He originally wanted to call it Soldiers' Ravine, because the stones, he said, looked lined up like soldiers ready to go into battle. But after further research, he realized that the stones looked more like Russian dolls. The nature reserve known as “ravin aux dolls” has only two hectares and is made up of a vertical wall with compact sands, on which we can observe marly clays, marls, and concretionary sandstones. These layers form all kinds of patterns, which look like dolls, mushrooms, and even animal heads.
