A good mountain hut. Wooden, highlander-style. You can stay and eat here. If you stay here, I understand that the rooms always face south – with views of the Tatra Mountains, which are quite impressive! https://krupowa.pl/

An important site. In the early days of World War II, Wysoka witnessed heroic battles by Polish soldiers under the command of Colonel Stanisław Maczek. Over 50 died. One civilian and 14 soldiers who died then are buried in this cemetery. It is a truly beautiful place of remembrance.

Probably the smallest shelter in the Polish mountains. Atmospheric. You can eat or stay the night. No water, so the toilet is an outhouse outside the shelter.

The Galician Transversal Railway was opened on December 16, 1884. The mountain railway to Zakopane was opened on October 25, 1899. A locomotive shed was built in the village. Podhale was a holiday center for tourists. In 1944, a second locomotive shed was built in Chabówka. In January 1945, the railway station and the locomotive shed were liquidated by the German army. The locomotive shed was rebuilt in 1947. Steam locomotives from Chabówka ran freight trains on local lines. Shaped semaphores were removed during the electrification of the railway line to Zakopane. On June 11, 1993, an open-air museum of rolling stock was opened in the locomotive shed. The village is located on the tourist railway route through the Carpathians. (Wikipedia)

The Jordanów region offers a diverse landscape for gravel biking, characterized by rolling hills, picturesque river valleys (like the Skawa and Raba), and extensive forested areas. You'll encounter varied elevation, with both challenging climbs and scenic descents, particularly as you approach the Beskid Makowski and Beskid Żywiecki mountains.
The gravel bike trails around Jordanów cater to a range of skill levels. You'll find routes of moderate difficulty, such as the Military cemetery in Wysoka – Gravel Road Through the Forest loop from Wysoka, which covers 18.9 km with 225m of elevation gain. For more experienced riders, there are challenging options like the Church – Scenic Green Field loop from Skawa, a demanding 95.4 km ride with over 1750m of ascent.
Yes, the region offers several excellent viewpoints. You can enjoy expansive vistas from peaks like Koskowa Góra, which is the third-highest peak in the Beskid Makowski range. While not directly on a gravel route, the Wysoka Road through the forest – Kiełek Forest loop from Jordanów offers a challenging ride through scenic forests that lead to elevated areas.
Beyond the varied topography, you can discover unique natural features. The Luboń Wielki Summit is a prominent destination, known for its challenging ascent and the natural monument called Stone run on Luboń Wielki. The extensive forests and river valleys of the Skawa and Raba also provide beautiful natural backdrops for your rides.
Yes, Jordanów and its surroundings are rich in heritage. You can find picturesque villages like Łętownia, home to an 18th-century wooden church, and Wysoka, which features a 16th-century manor. The town of Jordanów itself boasts architectural heritage, including an 18th-century timber-framed mansion in Chrobacze, the historic City Hall, and the Trinity Parish Church.
Generally, no specific permits are required for gravel biking on most trails. However, if your route takes you into the Babia Góra National Park, please be aware that entrance tickets are required for access to the national park area.

The Church – Scenic Green Field loop from Skawa, at over 95 km with 1750m of climbing, is a prime example for advanced riders looking for a demanding experience.
Given the extensive forested areas and numerous trails, it's possible to find quieter routes away from the main tourist hubs.
