The first church in Nowy Warpno was most likely built in the 13th century. The current one was built in the 15th century. The temple was destroyed by fires several times (including in 1692 and rebuilt. In 1693, a tower was added to the hall church, thoroughly rebuilt in the 19th century in the neo-Gothic style. Before World War II, a Protestant temple, consecrated as a Roman Catholic church on August 15, 1946 . Originally, it was a simple hall temple with a three-sided closure and an entrance from the west. The walls were built of brick on a granite foundation. In the 18th century, a sacristy was added. Ogival windows, between buttresses. Portal entrances are located on the north and south sides in parts added later. The tower, built in 1693, has a groin vault, a pointed portal, and was built of stone and brick. The rebuilt gable is topped with a pointed dome with a ball. Beamed ceilings, gable roof, ceramic. The bricks are in average condition. The walls have no cornices. Side entrance from the north. In 2002, conservation works began and uncovered the old Gothic bricks.

It stands in the place of the former water intake point, which served the city's inhabitants every day. The approximately two-meter-high structure is topped with a flame-shaped element. Below is a plaque with the initials of Nowy Warpno. Water flows from the mouth of the fish, with its tail up. Above the base attached to the ground there are four tablets with the coat of arms of Nowy Warpno.
