Skalny - a heap of post-mining waste in Łaziska Górne at KWK Bolesław Śmiały. The heap is 92 m high (absolute - 389 m above sea level) and covers an area of 30 ha. The weight of the rock material collected in it is estimated at 17 million tons. It is one of the largest in Europe. There is a small pond at the top.
