The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Berżniki is a historic wooden church dating from 1819, picturesquely situated near Lake Kelig. Surrounded by a fence with chapels, and flanked by a 19th-century bell tower and old rectory, it forms a valuable complex of sacred architecture. The interior has retained its historic character, and the site commemorates important events in the history of the parish and the region. In 2013, a plaque was unveiled here in honor of Marian Piekarski, a soldier of the Home Army and the Freedom and Independence Association. Be sure to step inside and notice the interesting lamp!

Right next to the High Bridge, on the eastern side of Czarna Hańcza, is this wide forest trail, easy to walk and quiet, and the forest is beautiful. There will certainly be some cyclists here, but for walkers it's a beautiful piece with trees.

There is no longer an active monastery there, I mean the monks, because the church functions normally.

The Camaldolese Order (a Benedictine monastic order of pontifical right founded by Saint Romuald of Ravenna in 1012) was responsible for the creation of this monastery on the island of Wigry. This congregation settled here in 1668. After the Third Partition of Poland in 1796, the Prussian authorities confiscated the Camaldolese estates, and in 1800, the monks were expelled from Wigry. The buildings subsequently suffered extensive damage, particularly during World War II. It was only after the conflict that reconstruction of the monastery began. In 1999, the Diocese of Wigry hosted Pope John Paul II. A small museum is dedicated to him.
