The Sanctuary of St. Andrew Bobola in Strachocina is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Poland, associated with the cult of this exceptional saint. The cult of St. Andrew Bobola in Strachocina began on May 16, 1988, when the Saint's relics were solemnly brought into the church and placed in a new altar dedicated to St. Andrew. (...) St. Andrew Bobola appeared in the Jesuit College in Pinsk 45 years after his martyrdom and said: I am your brother Andrew Bobola. And then he pointed to his coffin, which he ordered to be found in the basement and separated from the others. As it turned out, it contained a body preserved from decomposition. In Strachocina, an unknown figure of a priest appeared to parish priests in the 20th century in a similar way. Only after four years did Father Józef Niźnik dare to ask her the question: who are you? and what do you want? - and he heard the answer: I am Saint Andrew Bobola. Start worshipping me in Strachocina. First, he went to the Ordinary with the news he had heard, and then to the Jesuits in Warsaw to verify the "mysterious revelation". When it turned out that St. Andrew was so original in initiating the cult, further preparatory work to start the cult proceeded calmly. The figure that appeared stopped coming. (...)

From the border pass there is a very extensive view of the Low Beskids and the Bieszczady Mountains – you can see the peaks surrounding Lake Solina. Looking west, you can see Sucha Góra located behind Krosno with a characteristic concrete radio and television mast, built as a concrete chimney at the time of the launch of terrestrial television in Poland. A similar structure stands on Święty Krzyż in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. WW

New road in the DW886 Domaradz - Sanok section, inaccessible to bicycles, connecting the Beksiński roundabout with the roundabout in the middle of the Sanok bypass DK28. Viaduct over a single-track railway line from Jasło to Zagórz, built during the Austrian partition and so far un-electrified. It is only possible to walk or cycle across the viaduct via a pedestrian-cycle path, located on the eastern side of the DW886. WW

In times long past, the Market Square in Sanok was an oasis of greenery in this part of the city. After the change of regime, the trees were cut down, and the Market Square was paved mostly in red, hence its name, Red Square. On hot days, the center of the square is unbearably hot. You can seek refreshment under the umbrellas where ice cream is sold, or by the fountain located closer to City Hall. Even better, stop by the Franciscan Church for a moment and find not only refreshment but also peace. WW

The pierożarnia is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Besides serving several varieties of pierogi, they are also available to take away in thermal packaging. We ordered the Hungarian-style pie shown in the photo. In the same building is the flagship store of the Sanok bakery Jadczyszyn, offering bread and pastries. Open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM and on Saturdays from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM. WW

On the tourist map of Sanok, apart from nature monuments and monuments commemorating figures important to Sanok residents, you can also find military monuments. One of them is the T-34-85 tank located on Białogórska Street. Its location has an important symbolic meaning - the tank is located right next to the bridge over the San River connecting the left-bank Sanok with Biała Góra, in the place where the German-Soviet border was established on September 17, 1939. This unique monument was unveiled during the celebration of the Polish Army Day on October 12, 1982. This event was also the 39th anniversary of the Battle of Lenino (...) The exhibit comes from the 26th Medium Tank Regiment, which after 1945 was stationed in the Sanok district of Olchowce. Source: https://greenponton.pl/atrakcje-w-sanoku/
