The monument is located next to the papal cafe Papa Cafe and near the Sanctuary of St. John Paul II, personally consecrated by the Pope during his stay in Krosno. Being here, it is worth taking at least 10 minutes to walk around the church, because its surroundings have been prepared in a special way and there is a lot to see and think about. In case your blood sugar level drops, there are two cafes with a wide selection of unconventional cakes. WW

The new café is open in the basement of the church of Saint Peter and John of Dukla. Walking past it, you might not notice it if not for the advertising sign hidden in the bend of the church walls. Go down the long stairs; disabled people in wheelchairs do not have access here. The cakes are divided into two groups: with sugar and for dieters. The traditional cakes come from the neighboring Papa cafe. The unusual names are amazing, e.g. "Lazy mother-in-law" - a small and very sweet cake with caramel, mascarpone cheese and halva (see photo). The cakes for dieters include keto, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and sugar-free cakes. Two large rooms for consumption, young and friendly service. You can pay by card. Open except for Mondays. A charming corner of the Krosno Old Town, hard to spot when exploring the city without a guide. Forteczna Street ends blindly at the back of the Department Store building, but you can turn to the side and take the stairs to the area of the Franciscan church. There is a paid parking lot at the bottom of Forteczna Street, but after 4 p.m. and on weekends you can park for free. This is a convenient place, located close to the historic city center. WW

Cukiernia Jagusia is open: Monday - Saturday 7:00 - 19:00, Sunday 9:00 - 18.00. If someone likes very sweet sweets, they may like nougat. It is a wafer with a light, thick and sticky mass, sold in larger pieces from which you can cut several portions. Even cutting is difficult because the knife gets stuck in the nougat and gets stuck to the mass. You can't eat more nougat, it satisfies every sweet tooth. 😀 This is a product specific to this confectionery shop. Under the same name, other confectioners offer something completely different, some kind of layered pischinger with a dark filling. WW

The location of the bar is perfect for travelers - at the bus station and approx. 100 meters from the Krosno railway station. Clean, tidy, tasty and fast. Milk bar by name, but most of the dishes have nothing to do with milk. The menu is in the attached photo. During communism, only vegetarian dishes were available in milk bars, i.e. based on dairy products, without meat. WW
