McQueen Park is a great urban spot with ample parking, restrooms, vending machines, water fountains, picnic tables, and shaded pavilions, making it a highly popular trailhead. It's a fantastic place to take a break during a ride, especially on a hot day.

Freestone Pond creates a nice atmosphere within the Freestone Park area. The pond is surrounded by grassy open areas, palm trees and picnic tables. This is a man-made pond, with small falls connecting the two sections of the pond, offering a refreshing place to take a break and enjoy the facilities of the park area.

It is especially good for hiking with children as there is also a splash pad, playground, a ping pong table and basketball courts. The lake is a beautiful, calm place to walk beside and there are wide open grassy areas to let your dogs run about in too.
