Personally, one of the best bakeries in the world. Honestly. Hidden gem of hidden gems. Only reviewing this on Komoot to keep it relatively "secret". The salted bagettes are unbelievable. Made tofu banh mis with them and there are no words. Only ever been during the winter. XC ski right up to the bakery. Absolutely best way to start off the day.

Mazama is the last small trail town on the Pacific Crest Trail before the Canadian border. There is a comparatively well-stocked outfitter, a general store, picnic benches and a bite to eat.

Cutthroat is one of the few destinations you can reach by almost-flat trail in this rugged, craggy sections of the mountains. Although there is no formal trail along the lake the grassy shoreline is fun to explore, and the backdrop of the rocky ridge, pine trees, and larch trees — which turn gold in the fall — is quite striking.

Gorgeous Views of the Lake and surrounding mountains, and amazing Fishing opportunities for rainbow, kokanee, yellow perch, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill and even tiger trout. Very popular in the spring and fall, it is one of the best ice fishing lakes in the region.
