Apparently, they're in the process of repairing/restoring the locks. The water level was lowered for this purpose. This was the case in June 2024 - @Lydie attached a picture showing that the water level is back to normal. This means that the work on the locks that were repaired is now complete.

Finistere is heavily forested and a bit more pristine. We enjoy that. Here a "château" peeks out of the forest. That is the Domaine de Trévarez, which is still quite a distance away - it is only thanks to the telephoto lens that we can get so close.
