Excellent cakes and a beautiful view over the market square. But it is not by the lake, as the name of this highlight suggests, and the correct name is Café am Markt.

The current church was built between 1950 and 1955 according to plans by building inspector Curt Steinberg on the cemetery in the northwest of the village, directly on the B 167.[3] The earlier churches stood in the village center. The cemetery was established in the late 17th century by the Barfus family. This cemetery also contains the hereditary burial plot of the von Lestwitz-Itzenplitz family.

The beautiful Altfriedland Monastery Church is one of the oldest buildings in Märkische Schweiz (Markish Switzerland) and tells a story spanning almost 800 years. Originally built between 1230 and 1271 as part of a Cistercian monastery, it was rebuilt in 1734. The striking church tower was added in 1864. Today, the church serves as a Protestant village church and is an important cultural center of the town. In addition to the church itself, the ruins of the refectory and the well-preserved 15th-century cloister are worth a look. These are historical relics of monastic life in bygone times. Its location in the Märkische Schweiz nature reserve makes a visit particularly attractive: Situated directly on the Klostersee (Monastery Lake), the surrounding area offers idyllic views and invites you to take walks amidst a unique natural and cultural landscape.

Late Gothic church built of unhewn, unlayered fieldstone. The exact construction date is unknown, probably the 14th century. The tower was erected in 1874. The church stands on a hill opposite the castle. The grounds are enclosed by a wall made of unhewn, unlayered fieldstone.

The castle, built in the 14th century, is a beautiful sight in terms of its architecture and when the weather is good, you can enjoy a meal outside in the special ambience. The park behind the castle is also worth a visit.
