The high pass between Tryfan and Glyder Fach is also a crossroads for a number of paths - down to the Ogwen valley, but also up to Tryfan and to Glyder Fach via the Bristly Ridge or the bypass route.

This is the start of the bypass route that avoids clambering on the Bristly Ridge. It runs to the left (east) of the ridge and is quite steep and a bit loose in places, but it is a walking route as opposed to scrambling. Also gives good views of Tryfan.
