Shortly beyond this point, the road becomes gravel with a lot of flint, so gravel tyres would be safer. Thankfully our road tyres survived. The gravel road then becomes a very narrow byway path. Be prepared to "hike-a-bike".

Testing hill climb in either direction but well worth the effort.

Set back from the road as you go through Hunston. Look out for it and pay a visit.

The Emporium is a great shop with a coffee and everything you deserve after a ride. Great food and great staff. So much better than the other coffee shop in Overton. Give it a try

In side the village church you will find this memorial. I have have not seen one that commemorates the common man - the church is also worth a visit sits right in the middle of the village

A very nice steady climb. I look forward to visiting when the trees are in full leaf.

This is a long climb about 1.25 miles but take it steady and enjoy the view at the top.

The quiet lanes over the top of Watership Down - fairly unkept and gnarly roads in places but easily suited to a road bike - some lovely views on a sunny day and plenty of wildlife!
