Bitton Station part of the Heritage Avon railway Valley line. well worth a stop

This is just a small bridge over the canal (it looks like it used to be one! I'm trying to find out). Low laying, and the original sides have gone (if there were any!). But!! I'm a sucker for anything old!

The old railway, which still has some use, widens at this point. Several trains and carriages can be seen parked up. It is part of the Bristol & Bath railway line

You can stop for a hot drink and/or snack in an old train carriage at Bitton station! A lot of the walk is along the cycle path - so it's a shared pedestrian/cycle route. Just to be mindful whether you are walking or on a bike that there will be others either going slower / faster than you & if on a bike to make yourself known 💚👍
