The River Trent flows close to Hoveringham Road, this is a great place for a break to take in the views. If you don't mind a bit of gravel, the Trent Valley Way follows a bridleway along the bank here.

This is a beautiful paved section of path that borders the River Trent just outside Burton Joyce. It has nice uninterrupted views down to the river at this point and joins up with Trent Lane.

A big roomy pup and grill, the Magna Charta has a big car park, it is easy to access from the main road. It looks like it will get busy serving meals

This is the main shopping street in Arnold. There is a one way system and bus stops on sides of the access road. I had to slow down and go onto the paths to get to the bottom of the shops area

The Southern viewing platform at Gedling Country Park offers a great perspective on local landmarks, such as Belvoir Castle.
