This modest monument commemorates the Tree Weekend of March 19, 2006, when the Agency for Nature and Forest, together with Kom Op Tegen Kanker, planted 13 hectares of new forest. The trees were planted in memory of loved ones and as a symbol of hope. The touching poem on the glass plate invites a brief moment of reflection during your walk through the beautiful Buggenhout forest.
