Be careful not to go too close to the edge, as you might slip. A fun spot for children and adults with stunning views of the water.

The Swedish Seamen's Church in Hirtshals was inaugurated in 1955 and completely renovated in 2009. It now serves as the town's cultural centre. The atmosphere is lively and creative, with multiple users of the church. Outside there is a space with outdoor musical instruments. The church hosts concerts, including performances by the choir Nordsøkoret. In addition, the Hirtshals Music Society uses the beautiful space for rehearsals. www.visitnordvestkysten.de/nordvestkysten/planen/somandskirken-seemannskirche-hirtshals-gdk595056

Hirtshals Church was consecrated in 1908 by Bishop Christian Møller of Aalborg. The construction of the church cost 33,000 kroner and was financed by both local and state support. Before the church was built, the town's 500 residents had to go to Horne to attend church. The newly built church in Hirtshals had 200 seats and was simply furnished. The altar, baptismal font, and pulpit were made of light sandstone. Today, the church seats 252. The nave, which is a full-rigged structure, is located in the central aisle. The nave was built by the harbor supervisor Damm in Frederikshavn and was a gift from the town's citizens in connection with the opening in 1908. Each pew is decorated with a small painting by the artist Frits Gothardt Rasmussen of Ringe. The altarpiece depicts Christ on the cross with the Mother of Jesus on one side and the Apostle John on the other. The church underwent significant alterations in the 1960s. In 2007, the church was restored and received a new organ. Hirtshals Church has restrooms that are open until 5:30 p.m. Hirtshals Church often hosts various events such as services, concerts, lectures, and other activities for all ages. https://www.visitnordvestkysten.de/nordvestkysten/planen/hirtshals-kirke-kirche-gdk594748
