Topčiderski Park is one of the oldest parks in Belgrade. It covers an area of about 13 hectares, in the valley of the Topčiderska river. In Turkish, Topcider means artillery valley. This park is the first European designed park space in Serbia In the first part of the park, between Patriarch Pavle Boulevard and Topčiderska Street, there is the Residence of Prince Miloš, as well as important cultural monuments: Obelisk, Žetelica, memorial bust to Dr. Archibald Reiss. In this part of the Park (the area around the Residence of Prince Milos) the maple tree (Platanus acerifolia Wild.) dominates, which is one of the most beautiful examples of sycamore in the Balkans.

While riding in beautiful forest of Košutnjak you will come across this historic fountain. Built in 18th century and still provides travelers with cold and clean water. People are coming from far to collect it as story goes around about its special powers. Hajduk was Serbian rebel during the Ottoman Empire invasion of these lands. Enjoy and respect.

My favorite place on every tour is farmers market. You can learn about people and traditions, taste local food and drinks. Markets are open every day but the greatest feast is on the weekends. In the early fall they organize festival of pickled vegetables and cheese. Something that you don't want to miss if you are in the area. Enjoy and respect

The Residence of Prince Miloš is a royal residence in the Topčider municipality of Belgrade, Serbia. It was originally used as the palace of Prince Miloš Obrenović. It was built in 1831, after Serbia was given autonomous status in the Ottoman Empire. Park adjoining the Place is excellent place to take a break and admire 160 years old Platanus tree. Enjoy and respect.
