The Regener Hütte is a well-known mountain hut with a beautiful view of the Werratal.

The viewpoint has become so overgrown that the view is unfortunately no longer very pleasant. You can still see the town of Reichensachsen and the new motorway bridge, but that's about it. At least there's a nice rest area there, and the wonderful, rustic beech forests are especially worth a visit.

The princely crypt, which was built into the church in 1626 at the instigation of Landgrave Moritz of Hesse-Kassel, is a simple barrel vault made of sandstone. Moritz had four family members buried here: daughter-in-law Agnes Magdalena, who died in 1626 at the age of 36 / Elisabeth, a granddaughter of Landgrave Moritz, who died in 1651 at the age of just one year "from childhood illness" / Elisabeth's brother Friedrich - Hereditary Prince of Hesse-Eschwege, who died in 1655 at the age of just 8 months / Friedrich of Hesse-Eschwege, who died in 1655 at the age of 38. All four are buried in tin coffins, which are decorated with various engravings, relief-like chasing and, in one case, handles with lion heads, as well as with grave inscriptions. Inscription on the coffin of Friedrich - Hereditary Prince of Hesse-Eschwege: "The righteous will be dragged there. Lest malice pervert his understanding, neither false teaching deceive his soul.”
