The "Seat Stone of Wishes" (official name) by artist Günter Kaden has been located in the square in front of Treptower Tor since December 2020. The fieldstone, originally from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, was shaped by the artist to create the impression of holding a drop of water. The stone lives up to its name: Neubrandenburg residents and their guests can reveal their wishes by touching the "drop of water."

Mudder Schulten Fountain Opposite the Fritz Reuter Memorial, also not far from the train station, stands the Fritz Reuter Fountain, now called the Mudder Schulten Fountain. It depicts "Dörchläuchting" (Duke Adolf Friedrich IV of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) and the baker's wife "Mudder Schulten." The scene depicted at the fountain is said to have taken place in 1771. At that time, Duke Adolf Friedrich IV was temporarily ruling from his summer residence in Neubrandenburg. https://www.neubrandenburg.de/index.php?ModID=7&FID=2751.746.1&object=tx%7C2751.746.1
