Nice fishing pond of the ASV Köhlen (bathing is not allowed, not even for dogs). There is a large boulder on the bank. There are benches in different places. Here you can have a nice rest (and of course take your rubbish with you afterwards). A path leads around the pond.

Pine and birch trees have settled in the drained bog, which has been modified by peat extraction. In the peat cuttings grow u. a. Peat moss and cotton grass. In parts of the bog, peat was cut as fuel until the late 20th century. To the east of the nature reserve there is another remnant of the raised bog, which is not included in the reserve.
