Leipzig Zoo is home to giraffes and rhinos in the Africa experience world, especially on the vast Kiwara savanna. There, giraffes live together with zebras and antelopes, while rhinos can be observed in separate areas, even in winter. A giraffe house also offers insights into the species-appropriate habitat.

The playground at Schillerhain, part of the Rosental valley, was renovated using funds provided to the Office for Urban Greenery and Waterways at the initiative of our parliamentary group, and now invites children and families to play. The district council also funded the construction of a new table tennis table there using district funds. This station was created by the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary group as part of the "Discover Green Corners - Leipzig's Northwest" tour. https://www.gruene-ecken-entdecken.de/leipzig/leipzigs-nordwesten.html

The Schiller House is a small former farmhouse in the Leipzig district of Gohlis (Menckestraße 42). Friedrich Schiller lived on the upper floor of the house in the summer of 1785. Here, he worked on the second act of Don Carlo, adapted Fiesco, and wrote the first version of the poem "Ode to Joy," which he later developed further in Dresden.

The Parthe is a small river, but it is of great importance for the city of Leipzig (flood protection).
