Augustusbrunnen, Augsburg The three monumental fountains with bronze figures are the artistic highlight of the water system. The first was created by Hubert Gerhard by 1594. In the middle stands the city founder Augustus as the emperor of peace, the four river gods symbolize Augsburg's main bodies of water: Lech, Wertach and Singold as well as the Brunnenbach, which was artificially created for drinking water. The Ulrichsbrücke bridge carries Lechhauser Straße over the Lech River, connecting Augsburg's city center (or rather, the Jakobervorstadt) with the Lechhausen district. It is one of Augsburg's central east-west connections.

The Jakoberwallturm is a three-storey defensive tower with a semi-circular floor plan in Augsburg. It was built between 1540 and 1542 as part of the Jakoberwall, a bastion of the former city fortifications on the southeastern edge of Augsburg's city center between the Vogeltor and the Jakobertor.  In the early 17th century, the tower was rebuilt by Elias Holl. When Augsburg's status as a fortress was abolished in 1866, the Jakoberwall lost its military significance. Unlike other parts of the city wall, however, the bastion was not leveled, but remained largely in its original state. In 1908, the ramparts were converted into a public green space.  Since 1991, the Historical Citizens' Guild of Augsburg has leased the Jakoberwallturm and the adjoining buildings from the city. It uses the complex as a clubhouse and takes care of the structural maintenance. The inner courtyard was converted by the club members into a small open-air theater, the “Little Augsburg Open-Air Theater.” Since 1998, theater performances by the Sensemble Theater have taken place there during the summer months.  The Jakoberwall Tower is listed as an architectural monument in the Bavarian monument list and is an important example of Augsburg's city fortifications.

The Jakoberwall is a historic bastion of the former city fortifications of Augsburg, located on the southeastern edge of the city center between the Vogeltor and the Jakobertor. It was built between 1540 and 1542 and consists of a high earth embankment with a moat. The complex also includes a three-story defensive tower with a semicircular floor plan and residential buildings on the sides.  In 1908, the Jakoberwall was converted into a public green space. Today it offers walking paths, a playground, a soccer field and table tennis tables. The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Augsburg Water Management System” and testifies to the city's engineering masterpiece in the early modern period.  The Jakoberwall is a popular place for leisure activities and offers an insight into Augsburg's historic city fortifications.

The customs house at the Jakobertor in Augsburg is a historic half-timbered building located right next to the Jakobertor. It originally served as a customs station for goods entering the city. After a long period of vacancy, the building was taken over in 2020 by the Jakober Zollhaus neighborhood initiative, which has since used it as a venue for cultural and social events. Exhibitions, readings and neighborhood meetings are held regularly to promote community life in the Jakobervorstadt. In addition, a book exchange cabinet has been set up, which is often used by the population. The city of Augsburg plans to comprehensively renovate the customs house in order to preserve its historical substance and expand the possible uses. The customs house is a listed building and is an important testimony to Augsburg's city history.
