A very beautiful beach. Dierhagen Beach is located directly behind the dike. In just a few steps along the promenade, you'll reach the over 7-kilometer-long, fine sandy beach. Sunbathers and swimmers alike will find the perfect spot there. In the coastal protection forest, you'll find the open-air stage, where a diverse cultural program for all ages is offered during the high season. This part of town also features a tent cinema, a campground, shops, and the tourist information office in the "Haus des Gastes" (Visitor Center). Dunes form the first natural barrier against storm surges. 🌊 They break the force of waves and slow the spread of water onto land. Dunes also provide habitats for special plant communities and adapted animal species.
