The chapel is probably the best-known, small chapel in Hövelhof and is located directly on the EmsRadweg. The small chapel was built in 1896 by the then owner of the farm on the way to the church on the "Kirchweg" of the Vollmeierhof Bredemeier farm. Inside, as a loan from the farm owner, there is a copy of a Madonna from 1715; the original is still in the family's possession. The chapel is the destination of the annual Ascension Day procession.
