The mill on the Glan is listed as a cultural monument: a plastered building with sandstone elements, dated 1884, with still-preserved technical equipment from the 1920s/30s. Above the door, the year 1884 and the inscription „Daniel Groß ✳ Katharine Falck” are carved – the Groß miller family, who, according to a nearby information board about the Dietschweiler Mill, operated the mill since 1827. Grain was last ground in 1990. The complex also includes a barn from 1862 and other utility buildings.

Historic Wash Steps in Dietschweiler: Below the Dietschweiler Mill on the Glan River lies the former community washhouse, known locally as the "Wäschbach" or "Waschtreppe" (washing stream). The facility was built in 1889 and was regularly used until the 1950s and 1960s. With the construction of the railway in 1904, the Glan River was relocated, which also slightly changed the location of the washhouse. In 1986, the historic washsteps were renovated and listed as a historical monument. Today, a seating area with a table invites you to linger at this historic site.
