At 876 meters, Tupi Medveđak is the middle of the three mountains of the Medveđak ridge. One of the oldest paths in the park leads to it. As early as 1894, a trail to its summit was created for visitors to the Plitvice Lakes. When the beech trees are bare in the colder seasons, a fantastic view of the park's cascading lakes opens up to you. In summer, it is significantly quieter up here than down by the water.

The Medveđak stretches for a forest-rich eight kilometers as the northwestern spur of the Plješivica. It is crowned by three peaks. The legendary area was formerly known as "Vražji vrtal", the Devil's Garden. If you follow the paths over the Medveđak ridge today, you will wander through unique beech forests that are largely left to themselves. Rare species live in the primeval forests, including wolves, lynx, and brown bears. The name Medveđak is derived from the Croatian word for bear.

The Milanovac is part of the Lower Lakes of Plitvice and is located above Gavanovac. On the eastern shore, you walk over wooden boardwalks and along steep karst slopes. Depending on the light, mineral content, and algae growth, the water glows green, blue, or turquoise.
